After 40 it is hard to lose weight, it varies from person to person. I will discuss about the general problem people are facing during their weight loss journey.
People those who have not done any physical activities in their younger age they face the most of the problems.

Factors: 

1.What you are eating: Eating habit of the people changes in their 40's, change in nutrition, eating less healthy food.

2.Daily routine: It might be due to your daily routine, due to inactiveness in your daily life.

3.Less sleep: It might be due to sleeplessness in your older age.

4.Less power of doing physical activities: In the age of 40's most of the people get week and they are unable to do any kind physical activities or they can't give that much effort to lose weight.
