What is Nutrition?

Ans:- Nutrition is the supply of materials and nourishment that is needed by our body cells for their daily function such as growth, metabolism, repairing body cells, maintenance of tissue and regulation of body process, etc.

Main types of nutrients:

1.Carbohydrates.2.Protein.
3.Fat.
4.Water.
5.Essential fatty acids.


Micronutrients:

1.Minerals. 
2.Vitamins.
3.Fibers.
4.Macro minerals.

          Along with proper nutrients we also need to take proper amount of water for the proper functioning of our body.

#Carbohydrate:
It is one of the main nutrients for our body, it is the main source of energy for our body. Our digestive system converts carbohydrates in glucose and fructose(blood sugar) our body use this sugar for energy of our body cells, tissues, and to perform different function in our body regularly.
#Protein:
Protein is also one of the most important nutrients in our body, it plays a great role in maintaining different functions in our body. Its main function is to build muscles in our body, repairing tissues, cells, keep us energetic and to keep us fit.
#Fat:
Fat is one of the most important nutrients along with Carbohydrate & Protein. Fat serves both structural and metabolic function of our body. They are a necessary part of diet for animals and humans.
#Water:
Water is essential for your health, If you don't take water in proper amount you will became dehydrated, which is very harmful for our body.
*Some benefits of Drinking water :  1.It lubricates the joints.
  2.It form saliva and mucus.
  3.It boosts skin health and beauty.
  4.It cushions the brain, spinal cord, and other sensitive tissues.
  5.It regulates body temperature.
  6.It flushes body waste.

  7.It helps to maintain blood pressure.
  8.It delivers oxygen throughout the body.
  9.The digestive system depends on it.
10.It prevents kidney damage.


#Essential Fatty Acids:
Essential fatty acids, or EFAs, are fatty acids that humans and other animals must ingest because our body requires it for good health, and it can't be synthesized in our body.
#Minerals:
Major minerals for our body are- Calcium, Chloride, Magnesium, Phosphorous, Potassium, &
Sodium.


#Vitamins:
Vitamins are substance that our body needs to grow and develop normally.There are normally 13 vitamins our body needs, These are:

  3.Vitamin D
  4.Vitamin E
  5.Vitamin K
  6.Vitamin B1
  7.Vitamin B2
  8.Vitamin B3
  9.Pantothenic acid

#Fibers:
Dietary fibers is a plant-based nutrients that is sometimes called roughage or bulk. It is a type of carbohydrate but, unlike other carbs, it cannot be broken down into digestive sugar molecules.
Therefore, fiber passes through our digestive system, actually it is important for our body it help us to improve our metabolism, lose body weight, proper functioning of our body.

#Macro minerals:
Our body need good amount of macro minerals. They include calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, potassium, chloride and sulphur. You only need small amounts of trace minerals. They include iron, manganese, copper, iodine, zinc, cobalt, fluoride and selenium.
